BTC Precision Strips, established in 1958 in eastern India, specializes in exporting and distributing high-quality hardened-tempered and cold-rolled spring steel strips.

Our precision-engineered products, renowned for consistent tolerances, serve global OEM industries, including compressor flapper valves, shock absorber discs, automotive gaskets, surgical blades, and more.

Our Journey

The Foundation

BTC was established in Eastern India, initially engaged in the supply of sawmill tools, hardware and other industrial materials.

Focus on Spring Steel

The company began specialising in spring steel strips, supplying and distributing precision steel products to OEMs and industrial customers across West Bengal.

First Workshop

Our first tiny 500 sq. ft. workshop was established in Kolkata, marking an important step towards developing our own processing and service capabilities.

Expansion to Howrah

A second facility of approximately 1,900 sq. ft. was established in Howrah, expanding our operational capacity and strengthening our presence in the Eastern Indian industrial belt.

Expanding Across India

We began expanding beyond our home market, developing a distribution network and customer base across India.

Beginning of Global Exports

We entered international markets, initially exporting to two to three countries and laying the foundation for our long-term global business.

Building European Partnerships

We began importing precision steel products from established European manufacturers and developed long-term relationships with several specialised steel suppliers.

First Dedicated Service Centre

Our first dedicated service centre was established in Liluah, Howrah, covering approximately 10,000 sq. ft. Equipped with a precision slitting machine and modern processing facilities, it became a central hub for organised processing, stocking and dispatch.

Service Centre in Ahmedabad

We expanded our service network to Western India with the establishment of a facility in Ahmedabad, equipped with 2 additional precision slitting capabilities to improve regional availability and delivery timelines.

Chennai Sales Office

A sales office was established in Chennai to strengthen our presence in Southern India and provide closer support to customers across the region.

Expanding Global Presence

Our international business continued to grow, with regular exports reaching 18+ countries and a steadily expanding base of overseas customers.

Jaipur Service Centre & Continued Global Growth

A third service centre was established in Jaipur with 2 precision slitting machines and 1 Cut-to-length machine, further strengthening our pan-India service network and processing capabilities. By this time, our international reach had expanded to more than 33 countries.

Authorised Distribution Partnership

We became the authorised sole distributor in India for Hugo Vogelsang, part of the Bilstein Group, strengthening our portfolio with access to high-precision European steel products.

European Office

We established our European office to provide closer support to customers across Europe, Turkey and neighbouring markets, enabling faster communication, improved coordination and more responsive service.

Expanding Our Service Network

Work commenced on our fourth service centre in Nashik, further strengthening our processing and distribution capabilities in Western India. The facility is scheduled for completion by mid-2027.

From a small trading operation established in 1958 to a growing network of service centres, international partnerships and customers across multiple markets, our journey has been built on one constant — a commitment to precision, reliability and long-term relationships.

As we move forward, we remain focused on strengthening our capabilities, expanding our reach and continuing to serve the evolving requirements of the industries we work with.

History

Our humble roots date back to the year 1958, a period during which India as a free country was facing a socialist boom. Our founder, Late Shri Sitaram Narsaria, discovered a paucity of reliable sources for Band Saw Blades & Hardware Goods to small and medium scale mills & factories at a period during which the growth rate and demand were sky-rocketing. This indicated an exceptional prospect for the inception of a business to fill this dearth. Hence, to cater to all the top notch Industries, BTC Precision Strips was established in the former capital state of West Bengal.

Our glorious stint in the supply and manufacturing of hardware commodities lasted for nearly two decades. We had made a name for ourselves on a national scale with sheer dedication towards our clients and by supplying exceptional quality products exceeding expectations. But we shifted our focus gradually as the scope for growth wasn’t quite bright in that line of work. Soon we discovered the promising line of Spring Steel Strips, which had immense scope for expansion and growth. Infact, it is the raw material for most of the hardware products that we used to deal in and there are limitless applications of this Special Steel. Literally sky is the limit. Our initial annual sales in qty was around 2500 Tons. We sure were gradually expanding and our only objective was to supply the best.

In the year 1990, Mr. Prakash Narsaria stepped into the business and with all the perseverance took our firm to greater heights. With his coming of the age mindset, he implemented many changes and added numerous new products and niche grades to our portfolio. In the past 30 years he has constantly strived to improve the quality of the steel to match the expectations of our clients. Several new suppliers were developed, both locally and internationally, to ensure diversity. And as infra is concerned, we have majorly excelled in that too, with our current sales & service network ranging throughout the country.

Today we have 30+ grades in our product portfolio which we are regularly stocking and importing to provide just in time deliveries to our esteemed clients. Our annual sales in quantity has also increased considerably at around 25000 tons today, and we aspire to take this number to 100000 tons in the near future with pure hard work and customer satisfaction. Today we are proud to have our name associated with some of the biggest companies of the world and all of these seem like a feather on our cap.

And to abide by these we have pledged to supply the best quality materials that are at par with the most stringent OEM standards. We have proven our mettle on a global scale and are regularly exporting to 30+ countries whilst constantly expanding our supply & sales network with every passing second.

To ensure our continued success we have set up our sales & service centres in four of the major Indian States i.e.Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Gujarat, Rajasthan and are constantly beefing-up our network to ensure uninterrupted supply and best quality material with total transparency.
